Netuno centralizes and makes available georeferenced data generated from the implementation of Social Communication Projects – PCS (fishing vessels), Marine Biota Monitoring – PMBM (turtles and cetaceans), Passive Acoustic Monitoring – PMAP (vocalizing cetaceans), Monitoring of Impacts of Platforms and Vessels on Birdlife – PMAVE (birds found on board), Pollution Control – PCP (solid and liquid waste), called “standard projects”, as well as Beach Monitoring – PMP (animals found on monitored beaches).
In addition, Netuno member companies and the EnerGeo Alliance voluntarily provide access to documents related to special projects, also required for licensing of some maritime seismic surveys, whose upload to the Bank is not required by IBAMA. The final implementation reports of these special projects are available on the GeoNode Netuno platform.
Another voluntary initiative was the uploading of all scientific material, studies and maps available on the Equatorial Margin until 2022 onto the GeoNode platform, through the Rede Amazônia Azul initiative.
Below are links to access the data referred to. Immediately after, you can find a summary of the standard projects and then a table with the basic data relating to the special projects.

Welcome to another EnerGeo Alliance initiative, related to Netuno Environmental Database.
For many years, the Alliance has been planning to offer something simple and useful, a portal providing links to the most relevant Brazilian and international databases, of interest to the O&G industry, with a focus on marine fauna and sound. We are sure that this initiative will benefit interested parties, licensing bodies, companies, consultancies, as well as researchers, students and society in general.
It is important to highlight that this initiative is aligned with and supports the UNESCO/UN Ocean Decade, specifically the “Challenge 9 - Skills, knowledge and technology for all - Ensure comprehensive capacity development and equitable access to data, information, knowledge and technology across all aspects of ocean science and for all stakeholders".
Please, if you would like to join this effort and send us suggestions, such as adding banks and corrections, do not hesitate to contact us at aowens@energeoalliance.org.
